Saint Vincent Building, Adamson University
San Marcelino Street, Ermita, Manila

Adamson University was founded by a Greek chemist, Dr. George Lucas Adamson in 1932 as a secular university. When the Vincentian Fathers took over in 1964, it became one of the ‘largest private Catholic’ institutions in Manila.

Adamson University, usually abbreviated to AdU, is currently one of the 8 university members of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines or UAAP (1938). These member universities, and their high school counterparts, are all based in Metro Manila.

AdU joined the league in 1952, dropped out after a year and reapplied for membership in 1970. The Soaring Falcon is Adamson’s Athletics mascot.

Saint Vincent Building is the founding building of Adamson.
